About the role
We are looking for a Technology Development Manager to join our team in Sydney. The Technology Development Team is composed of high-performing engineers and scientists that are investigating novel technologies for our autonomous vehicle sensors. You will report to the Chief Technology Officer and have close exposure to the CEO and company founders.

Skills and experience
A successful candidate would have previously built a deep tech product from the ground up, knows how to work through difficult problems and is comfortable working in fast-paced, agile teams.

We are looking for:

  • Experience in a field of optics. preferably integrated photonics, research grade LiDAR, imaging optics.

  • Knowledge of numerical analysis and optimization, optical or electronic test methods, and automation methods.

  • Understanding of electronic and/or optoelectronic design.

    You will be responsible for:

  • Managing technical programs to provide clear outcomes, then successfully translating technologies to product development.

  • Developing and attracting talented engineers/scientists to develop as outstanding technology leaders.

  • Leading the optimization of internal technical systems to support business objectives.

  • Advocating for strong direction to new technologies to support the technology roadmap.
