Baraja is changing the world of self-driving cars, through the invention of a new type of LiDAR called Spectrum-Scan which delivers the highest performance available. Already with traction with global auto manufacturers, funding from leading VC’s including Sequoia China, we are now searching for Quality Manager for our Sydney office.
Baraja is based out of Sydney, Australia and operates globally with offices in the US and China. Our team is PhD heavy, with a mix of strong commercial experience combined with an Australia culture of honesty, passion and humility. You would report to the Quality Manager
The Quality Engineer works within the quality team to ensure the overall quality of a manufactured product and is tasked with creating documentation, devising quality tests and defining the criteria a test result should meet. They play a key role in fixing issues when they arise.
Fast-paced, dynamic role with multi-skill development required. Need to have a high level of creative thinking and collaboration.
Your role will involve, but not be limited to:
Develop and champion the Quality Management system within Baraja in partnership with the Quality Manager.
Champion Baraja’s problem-solving methodology and ensure compliance to problem-solving process. Drive the resolution of Quality Problems in manufacturing.
Become the Voice of the Customer and ensure customer issues are resolved.
You will need:
Working knowledge in product reliability, DFMEA/PFMEA and product/process validation
Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining an end-to-end quality management system leading to international certifications
Working knowledge of continuous improvement activities at a broad level in an organisation
Strong organisational and influencing skills Engineering, science or similar degree required.
Minimum 5 years experience with automotive or high-tech experience
Experience in capturing and resolving customer Quality Issues
Lead Auditor experience in both internal and external (supplier) audits.
