Marketing and Events Manager
Baraja is changing the world of self-driving cars, through the invention of a new type of LiDAR called Spectrum-Scan which delivers the highest performance available. We have traction with global auto manufacturers, a $US33M A Round from leading VC’s including Sequoia China, Blackbird and Main Sequence and growing rapidly. We are now searching for a Marketing and Events Manager.
This is a greenfield opportunity to join an outstanding team that has built and deployed a world-class product in a very exciting vertical market of autonomous vehicles reporting directly to the CEO/Founder. Baraja is based out of Sydney, Australia and operates globally with offices in the US and China. Our team is PhD heavy, with a mix of strong commercial experience combined with an Australia culture and mentality of honesty, passion and humility.
Working on major international industry events & tradeshows will be a significant element to the role, as these events work to bring customers together and showcase technologies of the future. You will also own all aspects of outbound and inbound marketing, including website and social channels.
Core responsibilities of the role,
Building the marketing team and function across the company,
Creating integrated marketing plans and budgets to drive customer engagement and adoption, including owning the strategy and delivery on worldwide tradeshows
Establish and promote the Baraja brand for employee attraction & retention
Establish and drive a data-driven marketing decision framework
Driving brand awareness, including publications that highlight Barajas’s technology through independent respected third parties’ platforms, such as universities.
Collaborate with engineering’s, product development, business development teams to deeply understand customer needs and feedback, resulting in clear and meaningful marketing collateral,
Coordination and strategy for product launches,
Manage and build all aspects of Baraja’s inbound and outbound marketing, including website and social media.
Work collaboratively as part of our leadership team,
What we need in this role,
A passionate B2B product-based marketer, with international experience,
Hands-on, get it done approach to solving problems and customer engagement,
A demonstrated track record of successfully taking new products to market,
Automotive, Optical Components, Sensors, AI Software.
Experience in scaling, venture funded or fast growth tech,
A passion for working in an autonomous, open, candid and transparent organizational culture,
Experience at building and leading teams
